Adventering Illegal Why?

Yeah, I know what advertising is, but I still want to know what adventering is. =p
Seriously, the same reason it's banned on every other forum / chat room I've been to. It's annoying and serves no purpose on the boards. People are annoyed enough by the banner ads, they don't want to read more ads while skimming the forums.

Who said it's illegal?
It's against the TOS. That's different.
As to why... well, I'd imagine it's because the admin want this site for discussion, not for telling people about OTHER boards (which happens on Usenet a lot)

Good for you. I block them. There's a reason I block them. Unfortunately I can't block spam posts so I'm glad the TOS covers it.
