I submitted information for a game, Pro Wrestling X. I recieved a rejection with the notice that the game had to either have funding or be released before it could be listed on the site. I made three more submissions I believe with proof, although this admin kept wanting more proof which is why I didn't just make one submission. Basically I had to find the email of the person in the Canadian government who is handling Pro Wrestling X, and give it to this mod.

Throughout this proccess I was being EXTREMELY polite. I made a point of it, because I want this game to be accepted, not to get into an argument with an admin.

So now this admin says "So, they have a government grant. How much? That should be public information, but it's not listed." Let's see here, they agree on the fact that this game has funding. Wouldn't that prove the first condition given under which this game would be accepted (it has real funding)? Let me quote the first rejection exactly : "Will not be listed until there's real funding or a real product released". Now believe it or not, I actually spent time trying to find rock solid, concrete evidence that real funding DOES in fact exist. So to reject my claim after I did something which this admin told me to do in order to get the game posted, I feel like I was led around on a wild goose chase.

Furthermore if this admin wanted to know those precise questions he could simply contact the person in charge of funding, whose email address I gave to him already. I am only a fan and don't know every last detail about this project. So I sent another submission basically detailing what I've said here but in a less annoyed fashion, and what do I recieve? A rejection, with no comment attached. This I feel is the ultimate insult this admin could give me after I spent a long time providing him with what he asked for.

It could be you said something as innocent as "I love fluffy kittens," if you somehow managed to anger Ceej through it, he can ban and axe you without so much as a blink of regret.

I'm not interested in a feud with anyone, I just want to see this game get what it should have.

I'm pretty sure CJayC doesn't have a stone heart...otherwise he wouldn't have a wife. And he'd be dead.

The fact he can ban and/or usermap axe someone without regret does not mean he has a stone heart, or is heartless. It DOES mean he's either very strict or very uncaring about people he's never met. I am willing to grant that CJayC might have a metaphorical "stone heart" when it comes to rule-breakers and most members of GameFAQs, but I think he has to...

Just think about it. He may have about 28+ moderators, three Mod assistants, and plenty of helpful users, he also has what is likely thousands of delinquents to deal with. He also has a site to maintain, one which is in need of daily update and such.

It doesn't surprise me that CJayC is a little short-tempered about rule violations sometimes with all this to worry about. And if this sounds like it's a bunch of brown-nosing apple-polishing kiss-up ****, it is...but it is also my honest opinion.

While it's unfortunate that your upcoming game does not yet have a board, keep in mind that the site is all about user submitted info. The Admins are industry insiders who travel the world talking to every little game developer, they rely on users to provide information. And to ensure that the information that is put up on the site is accurate and real, they need a set of guidelines. People in the past probably abused the honor system of only submitting real games. I wouldn't put it past many a LUEser to submit false games to see if they get added.

Many, many games out there are announced but never get off the ground. Heck, there are tons of games out there that are well into development before getting canned. *sniff, RIP Sam and Max.

Add those issues that there are other games out there that are far more deserving of a board, (OGame has 10's of thousands of users and hundreds from GameFAQs alone) and you get the fact that your game won't be put up yet.

For now, you can use a dead board without topicality, or you can get more info. Or just wait until the game is further into development and is more well known throughout the gaming industry. It is people like you that go through the extra effort to get the information that make this site what it is, the Admins just keep it running for us. Remember, for every submission like yours, they probably get 10 "LUEshi's Adventure in Buttsecksland 2: Nobody Expected Jingo!" submissions.

If the admin won't put up your game then deal with it. There's literally hundreds of ZX Spectrum games I could complain about not being listed... but don't.

MBH does not need to know about your continuing adventures with the Message Detail button. Mark them and get on with your life.

The point is that the admin made it very clear to me that if I completed "X" condition then the game would be posted. I did do such a thing, to that admin's own admission, and yet they still refuse to put the game up. To me that's just lying.

I said I'd post the game if it got real funding. A government arts grant is not real funding, at least not in the gaming industry. Right now, the project consists solely of wild promises and some screenshots. There's no engine, there's no license, there's no product. Until there's something real there, it's vaporware.

I've been wrong about these kinds of projects before, but I've been right more often than not.

Most likely any information that would satisfy CJayC doesn't even exist yet. If the game doesn't have any founding, finding evidence that it does have any founding will be rather hard.
